Over the years, SAJDI has accomplished more than 570 projects across 32 countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe, reflecting its strong global presence and technical expertise. History

[edit]

SAJDI began as the Consulting Engineering Center (CEC), a materials and soil testing laboratory founded in Amman by Eng. Aziz Abdo Sajdi in 1974. The firm later expanded its activities to include consulting engineering services. During the 1980s and 1990s, under the leadership of Eng. Izzat Sajdi, the company developed into a multidisciplinary consultancy specializing in infrastructure, water, and sanitation projects. By the late 1990s, SAJDI began working in several countries across Africa and Asia, undertaking projects supported by institutions such as the World Bank, KfW, BADEA, and the Islamic Development Bank. In the 2000s and 2010s, the company continued to formalize its internal systems and adopt international quality standards. SAJDI introduced ISO-certified management frameworks and expanded its service lines to support larger regional projects. Since the 2010s, the third generation has contributed to modernization efforts across the firm. Under the direction of Eng. Aziz I. Sajdi, SAJDI introduced digital design tools, enhanced project management systems, and incorporated sustainability-focused practices into its operations.
