WorkWave is an American software company founded in 1984 as Marathon Data Systems and headquartered in Holmdel, New Jersey.[1] It offers cloud-based field service management (FSM) solutions tailored to industries such as pest control, lawn care, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning, security, and last-mile delivery.[citation needed] Its integrated software stack includes customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), routing and scheduling, billing and payments, mobile workforce tools, and marketing automation. The company serves thousands of service-oriented businesses across multiple verticals.[2]

History

WorkWave was founded in 1984, initially providing desktop applications for service-based businesses.[citation needed] Over the years, the company transitioned to offering software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for mobile service operations.[citation needed]

Acquisitions

2015: Foxtrax GPS

In 2015, Foxtrax GPS was acquired and rebranded to WorkWave to reflect its expansion into broader field service and mobile workforce platforms.[3]

2017: Acquisition by IFS

In 2017, WorkWave was acquired by IFS, a global enterprise applications provider, enhancing IFS's offering in service-centric businesses.[4]

2018: Acquisition of Cube Six

In 2018, WorkWave acquired Cube Six, developers of ServMan Software. The acquisition accelerated WorkWave's presence in the HVAC, electrical and plumbing industries.[citation needed]

2021: Acquisition of RealGreen & Slingshot

In 2021, WorkWave acquired two businesses: RealGreen Systems, a FSM provider in the green services sector, and Slingshot, a customer engagement and call center platform.[citation needed]

2022: Acquisition of TaskEasy

In November 2022, WorkWave acquired TaskEasy, a digital field services marketplace for rental property maintenance, enabling its customers to access a broad network of service jobs across more than 12,000 U.S. cities.[citation needed]
