I gave a first shot at fixing the starting statement, as indeed the project has gone a long way since its initial release. I've added also references to the AWS/S3 API compatibility. |

The 1st sentence "OpenStack is an IaaS cloud computing project by Rackspace Cloud and NASA" is wrong in at least a couple of ways:
a) It's not *by* Rackspace Cloud and NASA. It was founded by those two parties yes, though I think most of the press coverage only mentions Rackspace, oops.
