Roof parameter
[edit]I notice the new parameter, I've added to Docklands Stadium [1], Forsyth Barr Stadium [2] and Macquarie Point Stadium [3]. I haven't seen any discussion about it, but are those examples the sort of usage envisaged for the parameter? (Ping @Dissident93) -- Chuq (talk) 01:33, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- The infobox has (rarely used)
|scoreboard=and|screens=parameters, so I didn't see an issue with adding one based on roof type. The type of material matters less than it being domed/covered/retractable though, as that doesn't seem to be something usually noted in prose. — Dissident93 (talk) 15:17, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
All pages using this template display "This template is being considered for merging..."
[edit]It looks like the proposed merger template on this infobox is being transcluded into pages. There's an ugly "The template Infobox venue is being considered for merging" message at the top of every page that uses this infobox. That's probably not good. Could someone with the appropriate permissions change this?

- User:DontCallMeLateForDinner this is obviously no longer an issue, but for the record this is standard procedure for a TFD. It is necessary to draw attention to the process. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 21:39, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
Logo size
[edit]Was the size for logo display decreased recently? I see some awkward-looking infoboxes with logos much smaller than images and maps. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:35, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Dissident93: Perhaps related to this edit? Is there a reason we are avoiding image width consistency? Personally, I think image width consistency creates a much cleaner look. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:36, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
- I made
|logo_upright=.5since logos tend to have fixed pixel sizes (which should be avoided if possible per MOS:UPRIGHT) as they would take up the same size in the infobox as the photo otherwise. I reverted the value back to 1 since it doesn't seem to be working nicely with various logo types and sizes, check those affected pages now. — Dissident93 (talk) 00:31, 14 November 2025 (UTC)- OK, thanks for the update. I'll think this makes the infoboxes look cleaner. ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:36, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

Infobox cleanup
[edit]For those interested, I am going to be starting the process of cleaning up and simplifying the code for this Infobox. My primary focus will be deprecating and eventually removing the various aliases for parameters, particularly those that violate WP:INFOBOXNAME.
For example, we do not need to support both |general contractor= and |general_contractor=, the latter (note the underscore) is the correct param to use and the former (with the space) should be deprecated and ultimately removed from use.
Similarly we do not need 4 different parameters for the Website of a venue... One will suffice: |website=.
To be clear, this should not affect any pages visually. There will be changes to the code on many transclusions to convert to using the "correct" param, but I will not remove support for the "incorrect" params until all pages have been converted.
