IMF–GDD Hypothesis
[edit]In 2025, Indian independent researcher Vivek Mishra proposed a speculative theoretical framework called the IMF–GDD hypothesis to explain the anomalous trajectory of the interstellar object ’Oumuamua. The theory introduces two novel concepts:
- **Inertial Memory Field (IMF):** A field that may retain the inertial pattern of an object's origin frame, enabling delayed or non-local motion response.
- **Graviton Displacement Drift (GDD):** A hypothetical quantum mechanism allowing graviton drift to influence acceleration without conventional propulsion.
Mishra further proposed that ’Oumuamua may function as a passive receiver, listening for echo-based quantum signals rather than transmitting them — implying advanced observational intent.
