Deletion of GAN
[edit]Hey! I didn’t know who else to reach out to, but someone last night went on my talk page and deleted my GAN for 1998 South Carolina Amendment 4. They didn’t provide any reason for doing so either. Can the deletion be undone and is the nomination still pending? Thefinals626472 (talk) 14:21, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- (watching) Hi Thefinals626472, you've nominated it, but the review hasn't been picked up yet so the page isn't live. Does that explain things? —Fortuna, imperatrix 14:46, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- (also watching:) I see nothing on your talk page regarding that article, only Talk:2025 Pennsylvania Supreme Court election/GA1. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:27, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, I reviewed that Supreme Court election; the South Carolina one I nominated, however,
was recently deleted from my talk page. - I am really sorry- I just realized that I had been looking at the South Carolina article’s talk page on mobile, so when I saw this revision (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk%3A1998_South_Carolina_Amendment_4&diff=1324718957&oldid=1324289965) I had thought it was deleted. My apologies. Thefinals626472 (talk) 15:34, 29 November 2025 (UTC)

[edit]I saw your request on the reward board, I wouldn't mind doing the request for you but I don't need any QPQ's. If I were to do more than the 15 you're asking could we maybe do a barnstar or a GA review or something else? Let me know how many you'd like me to do if a different reward would be ok. =) Snuggle 📫 🖤 14:28, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Snugglebuns: Happy to do a barnstar! For a GA review, I think I'd ask for more like 25 clippings, and I'd ask that you share the article you'd like me to review ahead of time. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 16:18, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
- Let's do the barnstar, I'll get them done today. Snuggle 📫 🖤 12:40, 5 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Theleekycauldron: I got 45 done I think. Got into a groove and enjoyed working on it. This might be my new "I'm bored and don't know what to do" task. Billy Joel, New England Patriots, Pac-12 Conference, Ed Gein, Nashville, TN, Thanksgiving, Ronald Reagan (that one is just an editors note), Chester A. Arthur, and Philadelphia Eagles. Administrators' newsletter – December 2025
[edit]News and updates for administrators from the past month (November 2025).

- Starting on November 4, the IP addresses of logged-out editors are no longer being publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account associated with their edits.
- Administrators will now find that Special:MergeHistory is now significantly more flexible about what it can merge. It can now merge sections taken from the middle of the history of the source (rather than only the start) and insert revisions anywhere in the history of the destination page (rather than only the start). - The December 2025 administrator elections are scheduled from Nov 25 – Dec 15.
- An Articles for Creation backlog drive is happening in December 2025, with over 1,000 drafts awaiting review from the past two months. In addition to AfC participants, all administrators and new page patrollers can help review using the Yet Another AFC Helper Script, which can be enabled in the Gadgets settings.
