detect promo script
[edit]I'd recommend it didn't search in the references pls? as reliable sources often use promo words. This generates a lot of false positives. hopefully this will ping you! Tom B (talk) 21:25, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Tpbradbury. I didn't get your ping because you didn't put my username in your comment. That's OK though, I went ahead and made the edits right now. Should be all set. Let me know if you think of anything else. Happy holidays! –Novem Linguae (talk) 08:18, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

@Novem Linguae: detect "leading" but not "leading to" Polygnotus (talk) 21:13, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- This is a good idea, but I don't have time to work on it at the moment. One algorithm for this might be to create a counterpart of wordsToSearchString called wordsToDeleteString, then delete these phrases from the wikitext before looking for the wordsToSearch. –Novem Linguae (talk) 04:16, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- Another algorithm for this would be to use a RegEx negative lookahead. –Novem Linguae (talk) 23:50, 11 July 2025 (UTC)

- Sure.
Done. 4 of them were already on the list (or shorter versions of them were). Also, the AI in my code editor started suggesting new ones to add based on what was already there. The irony of using AI to catch AI. Lol. –Novem Linguae (talk) 16:44, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
Add WTW ?
[edit]Hey I assume this is an intentional choice but why not have the WP:WTW and like MOS:ALLEGE words? Czarking0 (talk) 04:19, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
- Not intentional. The MOS:PUFFERY words would probably be reasonable to add. But the rest of WP:WTW seems to be words that cause tone problems, but that aren't necessarily related to promotion. MOS:ALLEGE doesn't seem particularly related to promo. –Novem Linguae (talk) 09:50, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
