Sockmaster is a blocked spambot (emailing users who have participated in an AfD to check out their Wikipedia mirror where the article won't be deleted). Blocked on the 2nd. WikiAlphaRobot began sending out the same spam today. Singularity42 (talk) 12:36, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sending out email spam to users in a manner exactly the same to the original editor. See also the current discussion at AN/I regarding this user. elektrikSHOOS (talk) 03:27, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inconclusive as far as technical evidence is concerned. It could well be somebody else from the WikiAlpha community doing the same thing; that is, it doesn't look like someone editing directly from WikiAlpha (and hence not a reason yet to block all their IPs). –MuZemike 03:35, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Needless to say, it looks like the block is valid, whomever was doing the spamming. –MuZemike 03:36, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
