Most of these programs for Mozilla Firefox should also work for the Mozilla and SeaMonkey browser series.

  • Distracted Reader – Select any text on a webpage to search, read articles right next to it, explore related topics. Fast, versatile, minimal context-switching.
  • wikEd, a full-featured in-browser text editor that adds enhanced text processing functions to Wikipedia and other MediaWiki edit pages. Features include wikicode syntax highlighting, regular expression search and replace, and MS Word / HTML to wikicode conversion.
  • FoxClocks – the FoxClocks extension allows you to have one or more customized clocks displayed in the status bar or toolbar of the Firefox browser. Helpful to have one set to UTC/Wikipedia time, and/or to the time zone of frequent collaborators.
  • Picture Popups – enlarge images in place, or open them in HTML popups inside the page – no new windows opened.
  • Link Complete auto-complete links to articles in the edit box by pressing tab or ctrl-space.
  • WikiDiff – Firefox only extension for tracking and rendering diffs of Wikipedia articles. Essentially like taking a highlighter and marking what is new since your last visit. A diff format easy for newbies. Allows you to watch pages you have visited but never originally intended to watch.
