Indeed, I'm tagging for merger. The two pages are relatively low traffic and non-visual artists are regularly being put into Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Artists and then they have to be removed again, which is a waste of time. If the two are merged, it should keep the name Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Visual arts and should not be changed to Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Visual artists because there would no longer be a del sort for galleries and museums, arts organizations, murals, works of graphic design, public art, collaborative efforts and teams, etc. I have no opinion on the merger at this time, but feel quite strongly that if it goes forward, it should not be called Visual artists, but should remain visual art. Right, exactly that. Previously I suggested renaming "Artists" to "Visual artists" to reduce confusion, but now I'm suggesting instead a merge to "Visual arts". If people don't want a merge, then as a fall back, we could keep "Visual arts" and change Artists to "Visual artists" as originally proposed. This will hopefully eliminate the time waste of musicians and actors being listed as "artists" as well as the time waste of reading through visual artists being listed in both "artists" and "visual arts." I think Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Visual arts should be the target of a merge for reasons stated above (museums, collectives, arts organizations and galleries). I do not favor one action over the other, but I do think Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Artists is turning into a catch-all for overenthusiastic sorters.   It seems any editor can perform the merge per WP:MERGE since there seems to be consensus, I'm just worried that there might be technical aspects that I'm not thinking of here because of the heavy use of scripts in the project?   I am involved since I !voted, and if I'm not mistaken, involved editors should not close the discussion. Would you be willing, as the original proposer, taking it to the Merge talk page and explaining the situation and seek guidance from editors with experience in Merging/Moving; or ask that an uninvolved editor close this and perform the merge? Messed up AfD

The page Fariborz Maseeh has an AfD but it looks like it was not properly/fully transcoded and the bot keeps trying (and failing). Not sure how to fix it, hopefully someone else can. Ldm1954 (talk) 22:35, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

Deletion sorting by country

New deletion sorting list

I have created Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Artificial intelligence since there appears to be quite a lot of nominations revolving around AI, and I see no sign of decrease. The other delsort lists were a little too broad, hence this creation. @Jolielover It looks like the delsort project needs a lot of cleanup. Why does wine have its own topic when no other food and drink types have their own topics? Why do we have piracy and logic topics that get two entries per year? Helpful Raccoon (talk) 06:07, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

Yes, I've noticed this for wine too, food and drink is more than enough. I did not know piracy/logic had deletion sortings. The former fits in crime, and logic... what even can be in that sorting? Anything logic based will also be based in something else, like math, science, etc which have their own sortings. jolielover♥talk 06:57, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

Looks like there was Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Piracy which closed in 2014 with no consensus because at least one person found it useful, although that person hasn't edited since 2021. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 07:17, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
