ZestyAI is a technology company that provides artificial intelligence–based risk analytics for property and casualty insurers in the United States.[1]
History
[edit]ZestyAI was founded as a software firm focused on using data and machine learning to analyze property and climate risk for the insurance industry.[2] [3] In 2025, ZestyAI obtained a US$15 million credit facility from CIBC Innovation Banking to expand its risk‑analytics platform and customer base among insurers and reinsurers.[4][5]
Products and technology
[edit]The company develops models that combine climatology, geospatial information, structural characteristics and historical loss data to estimate property‑level risks such as wildfire and severe convective storm.[1][6] Its analytics are used by insurers and reinsurers in underwriting, pricing and portfolio management, including for properties in catastrophe‑prone regions.[7][8]
Regulators in several U.S. states have approved ZestyAI wildfire and storm‑risk models for use in rate filings and related insurance applications.[9][10]
Recognition
[edit]ZestyAI has been covered by business and insurance publications in connection with climate and catastrophe‑risk analytics.[6][11] The company has appeared in at least one Forbes ranking of startup employers in the United States.[12]
