Doubtless someone will come along who sees that this can be made into two articles without any effort of thought. This will make writing links to it more complicated, and will ensure that the reader in search of one Codex Vercellensis is not made aware of another. Unless we have a great deal of additional information to offer, perhaps we will resist the urge to "create" two "new" articles. --Wetman 10:52, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

dating?

[edit]

there's no info on when the codex might have been written, nor any history or provenance. anyone? Mastakos (talk) 07:53, 11 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Doh! - "According to a respectable tradition, this codex was written under the direction of bishop Eusebius of Vercelli, which would date it to the late fourth century." It's in the cathedral library there, so presumably always has been. Johnbod (talk) 14:38, 11 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
