Quasi-state?

The English version of the emblem reads "Republic of Sudan" at the top of the bird's head, which may be possible that Government of Peace and Unity is not an official name for the quasi state, but rather the government itself. And the motto underneath the bird reads "Freedom, Justice, and Equality". Buddy731 (talk) 22:05, 16 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the RSF uses the term "Government of Peace and Unity" for its rival government and continues to use the term "Republic of Sudan" as the name of the country. Dn9ahx (talk) 22:42, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

After this source "https://www.economist.com/middle-east-and-africa/2025/11/07/hemedti-warlord-power-broker-and-the-new-sultan-of-darfur" it's Hemedti's statelet so technically quasi-state, similar to the Syrian Salvation Government which was Ahmed al-Sharaa's state-building project (statelet). Flag & Seal

Is the flag of the Government of Peace and Unity really identical to the flag of Sudan? I don't see evidence of this. Can we add a supporting a reference, or remove the flag (and possibly do the same for the "official seal")? Thanks. Dotyoyo (talk) 18:20, 27 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The Government of Peace and Unity uses the flag of Sudan and has adopted a seal with a different motto =
