Early life and education
[edit]Gray earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Design from the Art Institute of Portland.[4]
Career
[edit]After graduation, Gray spent more than a decade as a catalog art director, prop stylist, and set designer for national brands.[5] Her 2015 kitchen remodel was featured in Country Living magazine for its use of reclaimed materials and cozy, compact design.[6] Other residential projects have been profiled in Portrait Magazine[7] and 1859 Oregon Magazine.[8] Her Portland home was featured on Apartment Therapy for its renovation and mid-century character.[9]
From 2010 to 2014 she appeared as the on-camera style reporter for AM Northwest on Portland’s NBC affiliate KGW, contributing more than 30 live broadcast segments.[10]
In 2022 Gray founded the Psychologie of Home Design School, a six-day bootcamp-style interior-design program held in Portland, Scottsdale, Charleston, Seattle, and San Diego. The curriculum combines creative training with business education for aspiring designers and working professionals.[11]
She also hosts the Psychologie of Home Podcast, which debuted among the top design podcasts on Apple Podcasts.[12]
Gray is the author of The Denim Diet (New World Library, 2009), a lifestyle and wellness book published by the same imprint as Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now.[13]
Her professional commentary has appeared in HuffPost[14] and The Spruce.[15]
