James Boyle's works inspired me to research more about copyright and the public domain. I decided to research the historical context for copyright in the United States for an eventual book series in which I look at each of the United States Supreme Court cases dealing with the subject. Wikipedia basically lets me keep general notes on each case while contributing to the world's access to the topic, so I started helping with more general issues related to Supreme Court cases here while I was at it.
I went to school to become a software engineer and worked at that for a little while. That industry is a blight on this world, pretty much, and I couldn't stand working with the particular company I had fallen in with. After I quit for the sake of my mental health, nobody else would hire me. Womp, womp. My next career path is law school, and we'll see where that takes me.
I make audio recordings for fun when the mood strikes me. I once co-hosted a technology podcast called whiletruefm, and the first episode is here. My current show is called Amicus Lectio. I read open access and public domain legal scholarship. You can start with the first episode, though I also recommend the Pokemon Go episode to start. It has been on hiatus for a long time because the COVID Pandemic put me in A Whole Mood that demanded to be processed, but I still intend to return to it.

[edit]Articles I'm responsible for
[edit]The goal for my projects is not typically to elevate them to status articles. I have considered doing so at times, but my standards for quality are just different enough from the guidelines that doing so would be a bit of a chore. I also tend to work directly on live pages, preferring not to use sandboxes except as organization tools. I think this makes me more accountable. And, because articles I write tend to represent my developing notes on and understanding of the topic, I think making that developing understanding public is a valuable act of service. But that assumes anyone reads the articles that I write. Considering their relative obscurity, that is fanciful. Only the projects I've dedicated significant time to will get a shout-out here.
