Backgammon origin

[edit]

Thanks for reverting the edit about backgammon originating in the "game of persian". There is no such game. There are sources that will claim backgammon is 5,000 years old and that a version was found in Persia at that time. This is a myth copied from one place to another. What was found, as the article states, was a board, dice and counters; that does not mean they played backgammon! There are lots of games played with boards, counters and dice. Cheers. @Bermicourt Thanks! I don't know much about Backgammon but I don't like uncited changes to established articles :) dizzyflamingo (talk) 03:19, 29 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

While I do love cheeseburgers, I disagree regarding your edit. Hope I can keep the burger. dizzyflamingo (talk) 19:49, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your false warning

[edit]

Don't make false comments on my talk page again. If you had bothered to check you would have noticed that I only moved the cited information to where it belongs as well as making a number of other needed improvements. Afterwriting (talk) 02:27, 29 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Afterwriting, yes, if you look at the revision history you'll see that I realized this immediately and undid my reversion. I apologize, that page was the subject of an edit war yesterday and perhaps I was too quick to warn. dizzyflamingo (talk) 02:29, 29 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You were far too quick to "warn". You should have thanked me instead. You reverted while I was commenting here so I didn't notice. But I appreciate your apology. Afterwriting (talk) 02:32, 29 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're right, sorry about that. dizzyflamingo (talk) 02:33, 29 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t need to look at him in real life because Original Research is not a Reliable Source. Please take it to the article’s talk page. dizzyflamingo (talk) 23:26, 3 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
