Question from Kornelia Rudkowska at Emily Revolutionary Marketing Group (18:49, 12 November 2025)
[edit]Hello! This is my first time writing on wikipedia. Do you mind checking my sandbox and article about Cattywampus game and give me some suggestions before I submit it for review? --Kornelia Rudkowska at Emily Revolutionary Marketing Group (talk) 18:49, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Kornelia Rudkowska at Emily Revolutionary Marketing Group, I took at look at your sandbox. You may be in a tough spot right now - the subject of the article you have written is currently not notable, as the main sources being used to write it are PR Newswire and LNGFRM. The former has been determined by the community to be an unreliable source due to its lack of editorial oversight. It does not look like there is any similar oversight at LNGFRM either - it is unclear who is writing their articles, since everything is written by "LNGFRM Team". Your other sources establish that the subject exists but not that it is notable for any reason. That's my perspective. -- Reconrabbit 18:59, 12 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for your feedback. I have this article as one of the sources as well, what do you think? https://business.cwcchamber.com/business-directory/Details/dna-games-inc-3955495 Kornelia Rudkowska at Emily Revolutionary Marketing Group (talk) 20:12, 12 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from JeannetteBlake (19:23, 13 November 2025)
[edit]Hi there! I wanted to introduce myself. I'm an aspiring journalist in Maryland. Do you have any suggestions for pages that I can edit as I start out? --JeannetteBlake (talk) 19:23, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- He @JeannetteBlake, welcome to Wikipedia. I can provide a few pointers for you. Judging by your work on Draft:Annapolis Maritime Museum, I'd become familiar with several of this site's policies, namely reliable sources and verifiablility. While you have the latter here, since the museum is expected to be mostly accurate about its own goings on, the former is lacking since the museum isn't going to be an independent observer of itself. Try looking for newspaper and library sources on the subjects you want to write about. I was able to find one. -- Reconrabbit 19:48, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
Question from Saffronarchitect (10:01, 14 November 2025)
[edit]Hello Reconrabbit,
I have been looking at companies that offer to create Wikipedia pages for £1000's but they generally seem like scams.
I have been wanting to create a new page for my Grandfather (died 1994) for decades.
He was a famous comic artist, published successful. But there is not much about him online. I want to create him a page before it is too late and he disappears from history (online).
Can you help give any advice for a newbie?
So many thanks for any help you can give.
Rebecca --Saffronarchitect (talk) 10:01, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Saffronarchitect, welcome to Wikipedia. You are correct: Any person or service offering to create a Wikipedia page for a fee is a scam. My advice for you is to look for published works about your grandfather and his work and collect them in a draft. Help:Your first article also has some useful information. You can compare other articles like Jorge Alderete for inspiration (see how it references offline works like Reforma) - though I advise that if your grandfather is not notable in the Wikipedia sense of the word, there is nothing anyone can do here to change that. -- Reconrabbit 14:33, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me. That is really helpful advice and good to know that my hunch about paid page creators was correct. The draft feature is really good to know about and I will make a start there.
- Offline referencing, also good to know about.
- He worked for DC Thomson (UK media company) for 50 years drawing some of Britains best loved children's comic characters and their resident archivist has found lots of information on him for me. This is all offline. But verifiable.

- I will get to work. Thank you again. Saffronarchitect (talk) 14:41, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from AliciaAspenClean (21:49, 19 November 2025)
[edit]Hi, nice to meet you! I am trying to publish an article about my company, not as an advert but simply informative about the company start date, who the founders are, unbiased history, etc, but I have been struggling with approval and making sure I stay unbiased. Is it possible to send you a draft article for you to review and highlight the work-ons I need to sort to ensure the draft article meets all community guidelines? thanks A --AliciaAspenClean (talk) 21:49, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Alicia,
- Several other editors have provided their feedback on your work on your talk page, where I see you have responded to several. Unfortunately, based on the outcomes I've seen, Wikipedia is just not going to be the place for your company right now. You just don't have the coverage expected of a notable company. AspenClean is not yet on the level of Seventh Generation Inc. -- Reconrabbit 14:46, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
European hares in Britian
[edit]I was wondering if you know anything about European hares possibly being native to Britian rather than introduced. LittleJerry (talk) 03:05, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- I haven't seen any evidence towards that in the treatments I have read. Hacklander & Schai-Braun (2018, 2016) state that it originates in steppe habitat where its population density is fairly low (2 per 100 ha). The species' status is repeated in the 2025 IUCN assessment Hacklander published, supported by Caravaggi et al. 2017 where it is stated that the species was introduced for sport hunting in the 1800s (at least in Ireland). -- Reconrabbit 14:40, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- See European hare: Difference between revisions - Wikipedia LittleJerry (talk) 19:18, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- I see. I don't think this is a well-supported hypothesis. Later works that cite this paper describe a western introgression of the species towards Iberia, and land bridges are mentioned in this paper by Giannoulis et al, but only in reference to hare populations occuring in Cyprus specifically from land bridge translocation, not Britain. -- Reconrabbit 19:46, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

Question from BruceCGeiger (18:50, 3 December 2025)
[edit]- Note: BruceCGeiger's mentor Em-mustapha is away.
Hi, I'm having some troubling experiences with an editor on a page that I have provided edits to. I believe this editor may have ulterior motives/biases around the article they appear to be in charge of and they are simultaneously accusing me of conflicts of interest I do not have. They are essentially claiming I am a member of this publication whose page I have made edits to, when — in reality — I have simply been a longtime reader of the publication and have a good deal of knowledge on the group's trajectory and general discourse around them. The article editor seems to view this as an obvious sign that I have an undlisclosed COI, even though I've stated multiple times I do not. They continue to revert my edits and disregard my knowledge of the publication's history. How is this kind of thing generally handled? --BruceCGeiger (talk) 18:50, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- You are asking me to get involved in a discussion that I have no desire to get involved in. Your edit history has focused only on Psymposia and persons involved with psychedelics. This is a fairly clear indicator of a single-purpose account, which is often linked to COI. That is the most likely reason you are being accused as such. You have options - they are outlined at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution and Wikipedia:3O. -- Reconrabbit 19:15, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
Draft:Hilda L. Stone
[edit]I totally agree that the last sentence was speculative and deleted it. Hopefully, I can find more info about her. I have some unverified info about her (from familysearch.org) that suggests she was married 3 times and died in California. I wasn't comfortable with the sources, so I left that out.
I am also trying to track down any mugshot of her, but there is no digital record of that, so it will take time (if it's even possible).
Thanks for reviewing the article. Billhector (talk) 21:59, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- Actually, I have a question about adding appropriate links to other wiki articles. This is my first article, so I don't know how this works. Do I add the links myself? I was more concerned about writing the article and didn't think about linking. Thanks. Billhector (talk) 22:11, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
- Links are a good idea to relevant topics. Place names, events, and other notable concepts like bootlegging and Sabbath School are typical link targets. Adding links is a task that is often assigned to new editors, so if you create an article without them, links will get added quickly regardless. -- Reconrabbit 01:39, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
