Saria116 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am new to Wikipedia and was not aware of many policies. The page was not intended to promote anyone. I apologize for any inconvenience. I understand that my editing has become disruptive but this was completely unintentional and I take full responsibility of this behavior. My goal now is to simply learn and improve. If my block is lifted, I will focus on constructive, policy-based editing and avoid any topics where I may have a conflict of interest. If the block is not lifted immediately, I understand, but I kindly ask for consideration and guidance. Thank you for your time. Saria116 (talk) 08:47, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This does not even attempt to address the problem with WP:UPE, nor does it mention your use of LLM's. Worse, two tools I use indicate all or part of this unblock request was written with an LLM, despite the previous problems you've had with LLM's. If true, and I'm not saying it certainly this, this would be an incredibly poor decision on your part. Yamla (talk) 11:07, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Saria116 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Thank you for your time. I highly regret and have learned from my previous mistakes. You are right I should've Addressed my previous mistakes of using LLM and not abiding by the COI Policy. I now understand completely the policies and promise will not return to my previous disruptive editing. Kindly accept my sincere apology. Ahmed and I have the same family name. We are specifically second cousins. I hereby promise not to write about him nor anyone that may lead to a Conflict Of Interest. I promise to adhere to Wikipedia's policies strictly from now on Saria116 (talk) 11:16, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

Decline reason: One open unblock request at a time, please. In any case, you are not autoblocked, you are blocked directly. I recommend (but don't require) that you modify your open unblock request to directly address your conflict of interest (WP:COI), i.e. by exactly specifying the nature of your relationship. I also recommend promising to avoid writing about Ahmed Osman Shatila and anyone or anything else for which you have a conflict of interest. Yamla (talk) 12:41, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

My Apologies. I understand now and will wait for this to be reviewed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sariah116 (talkcontribs)

Hi @Sariah116, I'm very confused. You told me that you were absolutely adamant that you did not want to be personally identified and did not want to edit Wikipedia further. You wanted to delete you name and completely vanish from Wikipedia (and made multiple requests to do so), before deleting your entire Talk page.
Now you've confirmed your surname (so now we see your first and last name), you family relationship and want to edit Wikipedia again.
What has changed since we last spoke a few hours ago? Blue Sonnet (talk) 13:14, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. This is true only because one of the administrators told me dont be tempted to return to your account. I lost hope at that moment. But I thought that deeply inside I love Wikipedia as I promote it to my students. Being part of the community would be an honor. I apologize for the confusion and earlier mistakes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saria116 (talkcontribs)

  • That meant not to be tempted to go back to your other account, which is also blocked. Please spend six months with this account building a productive history editing about another subject on another project and you might be unblocked here. Continuing down this path is just going to end up with you losing talk page access. Star Mississippi 13:43, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Star is talking about the Standard offer (link), this is where you work on another Wikipedia of your choosing to build up evidence for a future appeal.
Doing things like not disclosing a conflict of interest and using tools to make inappropriate & promotional edits, can all cause the community to lose trust that you can edit Wikipedia productively and responsibly.
That trust can be rebuilt with the Standard offer. You click on the List of Wikipedias, choose one that you think you'll enjoy, then log in over there using this same account. That way, everything is linked up and easy to find.
You work over on another project for six months to learn and grow, becoming a better editor. Once you've done this for at least six months (ideally with 500 good-quality edits too), you can come back here and show everyone that you can be trusted to edit English Wikipedia again.
Everybody wins - you get to keep editing, we get a really good editor in six months!
Does that sound like a good idea?
BTW If you aren't sure which one to choose, Simple English Wikipedia is a good start. Blue Sonnet (talk) 13:57, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds Amazing Blue Sonnet. You are the best. I have been blocked to edit anything. How can I make these edits — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saria116 (talkcontribs)
It'll be easier to follow if you click Reply underneath my comments, it'll put them in the right place and sign them for you.
How to find the best Wikipedia for you
  • Click on this blue text
  • Go to the section headed "Wikipedia editions"
  • Scroll down the page to find a Wikipedia in your preferred language (or find the one called "Simple English Wikipedia" if you want to edit in English)
  • Click on the one you're interested in editing
  • Go down a little and look for the URL
  • Click the URL and sign in with this account you're using now
  • Happy editing!
