I'm trying to see if there's anyway I can improve this article so that it doesn't get deleted. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Watts_III
- My advice is to continue doing what you're doing at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Howard Watts III. Whether or not that article is deleted depends entirely on the result of that discussion. The proposal for deletion is on the grounds that there's not significant coverage of the subject in independent, reliable sources; it seems you are already doing a good job of refuting that. It will be for the closing administrator to decide whether to keep or delete the article based on the outcome of that discussion. One thing in your favour is that if there is no clear consensus, the default decision is to keep the article.
- In terms of improving the article itself, quite a few of the references seem to be primary sources. If you can find reliable independent sources to replace those with, then that would improve things a great deal. Also at present the article seems biased in favour of the subject; it only lists achievements and plaudits. I'm sure there must be some more critical views of him that have been expressed, or past failures that might have affected his career path or political views, and it's important that these are included to make the article neutral.
