I've reverted your edits to the Wikpedia Guideline page noted above. Generally speaking, citations are not required for policy and guidelines, they are based on community consensus for enforcement, not 3rd party sources. As you are a new editor, I would recommend you avoid editing policy pages until you understand how things work here. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 09:45, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
- I was specifically marking the lack of citation about the german court case being referenced xmath (talk) 11:08, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
- Note that the last paragraph of the section above the one I edited also contains a citation-needed on a court case being mentioned. xmath (talk) 11:10, 29 July 2025 (UTC)

- Best to bring it up on the talk page then. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 11:11, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, I will do so. It seemed (and still seems) reasonable to expect a reference when a specific court case is mentioned, and seeing the [citation needed] on the paragraph above it further confirmed to me that it is appropriate to expect one, hence adding the tag seemed sufficiently obvious/trivial to do a direct edit. xmath (talk) 11:29, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
