- Split WWNN into WWNN and WRBD. See discussion at Draft talk:WRBD. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:09, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
Not done Consensus is against a split. GenQuest "scribble" 19:55, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split Rui Borges (footballer) into Rui Borges (footballer, born 1973) and Rui Borges (footballer, born 1981). The current article is mixing up two players of the same name, one who has a Wikipedia article and one who doesn't. Here are profiles of both players from a Portuguese database: [1] [2] The footballer born 1973 who is the current subject of the article is not the same man who managed Mirandela and Academico Viseu and now manages Academica. This reference for when a man called Rui Borges became manager of Mirandela in 2017 said he was 35 and played for "Bragança, Trofense, Moreirense, Famalicão and Freamunde". This clearly identifies that Rui Borges as being the one born in 1981. 109.153.12.180 (talk) 20:05, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
- Moot Request withdrawn following standard copy editting. GenQuest "scribble" 19:43, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split We_Need_Answers#No_More_Women into We Need Answers and No More Jockeys. The game was always separate from the erstwhile TV programme, and now has its own YouTube channel etc and needs more saying about it. The earlier placeholder should link to new main article instead. The change of game's name is not the point. Please see Contested Deletion at Talk:No_More_Jockeys.
Not done Minor, small article on defunct 2 season show does not qualify for would result in two perma-stubs. GenQuest "scribble" 19:07, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split A Double Shot at Love into A Double Shot at Love with the Ikki Twins and Double Shot at Love with DJ Pauly D & Vinny. The latter is its own franchise.
Not done Request is unsigned and no discussion was started. GenQuest "scribble" 18:54, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split 16th Street NW be split into 16th Street NW and Black Lives Matter Plaza See: Talk:16th Street NW. P,TO 19104 (talk) 21:12, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
Done Not DoneConsensus is against a split at this time; a BOLD split did take place, however, and remains. GenQuest "scribble" 18:48, 4 December 2020 (UTC)- @GenQuest: Already split in July - consensus was actually for keeping the article after the split: Talk:Black Lives Matter Plaza. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 18:51, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split Casualism into Casualism (Philosophy) and Casualism (Art) See discussion at Talk:Casualism#Proposed split. Smokyhallow (talk) 19:59, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Done by Move & Disambiguation by interested editor. GenQuest "scribble" 18:41, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split Philippine Health Insurance Corporation into PhilHealth and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation. See discussion at Talk:Philippine Health Insurance Corporation. RioHondo suggested on move request that the content related to the health insurance program (PhilHealth) must be separated from the company article (where a summary of the program can be kept). TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 23:18, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
Not done Only comment after months is opposed to requested split. Pinging proposer, @TagaSanPedroAko: GenQuest "scribble" 18:22, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split Sports league, or at least restructure it, into separate coverage of professional and amateur league systems. There are some WP:DICDEF, WP:SUMMARY, and WP:SETINDEX issues at play here. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 00:29, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

Not done Stale proposal with no input after 10 months, Proposer, SMcCandlish may wish to go BOLD and do a split. Good luck. GenQuest "scribble" 18:16, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split Pipeline transport into Pipeline transport, Oil pipeline* and Gas pipeline*. The oil and gas pipeline may end up in one article or in their own articles. The current article is heavily based on oil and gas pipeline, while other kinds of pipelines have a much lower weight. See discussion at Talk:Pipeline transport. Sociable Song (talk) 02:40, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
Not done stale and stalled proposal getting little input. Try again down the road. GenQuest "scribble" 18:00, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split Community into Community (settlement) and Community (sociology): to distinguish between the only tenuously related 1) original human geography sense of the term, based on physical living environment; and 2) the subcultural derived meaning of intentional community, voluntary association, and self-selecting participation. What we have right now is basically a messy WP:COATRACK situation. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 00:21, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
- Article is tagged and awaiting split discussion. >>>Discussion Here<<<. Also notified WT:SPORTS. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 00:21, 27 July 2018 (UTC)
Not done Only weak opposition expressed; closed; may survive a BOLD split by proposer, SMcCandlish. GenQuest "scribble" 18:16, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split Content from List of transgender characters in film and television into a page titled List of transgender characters in television series. I'm doing this because although the page needs help with more sources, it is currently too big, violating the rules laid out on WP:SIZESPLIT. See discussion at Talk:List of transgender characters in film and television#Proposed split and renaming. Historyday01 (talk) 16:10, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
Done Consensus in favorite of split. Historyday01 (talk) 14:27, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
- Split Chinese lists of cults into List of Chinese new religious movements and move the present page to People's Republic of China list of cults. More information about the purpose of the proposal can be found on the talk page. - - mathmitch7 (talk/contribs) 21:17, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
Not done It was decided instead to move to Heterodox teachings (Chinese law) instead and re-focus the article. - - mathmitch7 (talk/contribs) 15:21, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Split Michael Flynn into Michael Flynn and United States v. Flynn.
Working Update: United States v. Flynn is now in the mainspace. Relevant notices were posted (e.g., re: copying, and inviting editors from Michael Flynn, Emmet G. Sullivan and WikiProject Law) to contribute, and a notice has been posted to Michael Flynn re: the need to trim content there, as it wasn't possible to carry out a clean split from that page, given the organization of the content on that page and the desire to keep some info about the case there -- FactOrOpinion (talk) 14:30, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
- Split Stagg Field concerns two distinct topics - the old Stagg Field/Marshall Field (used by a Big 10 football team, the site of nuclear testing, and torn down in the 50s/60s) and the new Stagg Field (tiny complex built relatively recently). There should be two articles. --B (talk) 12:34, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

- Split Mena (name) into Mena (given name) and Mena (surname): All the references and the prose text is just about the surname. The given name is just a list of names without information concerning the given name. This is a surname article with some given names tacked on, so the given names should be removed to its own list. -- 67.70.33.184 (talk) 21:24, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
Done. Both Mena (given name) and Mena (surname) now exist, and Mena (name) redirects to the Mena#People disambiguation page section. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 00:29, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
- Split Richard Arlook into Richard Arlook and The Arlook Group. See discussion at Talk:Richard Arlook#Proposed split. This article should be split because while Richard Arlook is an important figure of the Arlook Group, the company has grown to include several more talent managers and has gained more credits since the last update. Max Kliman (talk) 18:18, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
- Split American Bucking Bull into American Bucking Bull, Inc. and American Bucking Bull cattle: There's a WP:COATRACK here, where an animal breed article's content is basically hidden inside an article on an organization. This is not how we do things. The breed article should be split out to American Bucking Bull cattle, with
{{Infobox cattle breed}}and the normal sections for a breed article, like "Breed characteristics", "History", "Genetics", or whatever we'll have the sources for. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 18:52, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

Oppose: This is a distinction without a difference. The Bucking Bull breed and its registry have no need for a split. If the corporation needs a separate article, that's a separate question, not a split discussion (Like American Quarter Horse and American Quarter Horse Association). As usual, the lead editor on these articles appears to not have been notified. Montanabw(talk) 16:35, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Whoops, sorry, moved this to the discussion page of the article. - Split Champ Clark Bridge into Champ Clark Bridge (2019) and Champ Clark Bridge (1928). A well-intentioned new editor changed the scope of Champ Clark Bridge to be about the new bridge. Please archive Champ Clark Bridge (1928) to a subpage, maybe Talk:Champ Clark Bridge/Champ Clark Bridge (1928). Then split here, with the aformentioned revision being the starting point of Champ Clark Bridge (2019). Then please move the Champ Clark Bridge to Champ Clark Bridge (1928). Champ Clark Bridge should be a dab page until consensus emerges on the primary topic. Mark Schierbecker (talk) 07:43, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
- Since this split was already executed through the cut-and-paste move at Special:Diff/910423731, I've moved Champ Clark Bridge to Champ Clark Bridge (2019), then recreated Champ Clark Bridge as a disambiguation page between Champ Clark Bridge (1928) and Champ Clark Bridge (2019). All links to Champ Clark Bridge from the article namespace have been disambiguated. I've also requested a history merge of all edits from Special:Diff/37397272 to Special:Diff/903652095 (inclusive) into Champ Clark Bridge (1928), and an administrator will attend to the request. I hope this resolves the problem. Please let me know if there are any outstanding issues. — Newslinger talk 11:08, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
Done. The history merge has been completed by Anthony Appleyard, and the split is finished. — Newslinger talk 17:29, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

- Split Anderson shelter out of Air raid shelter. I think this a very well known topic in the UK and is worthy of its own article. Having a separate article would also encourage further expansion in future. See Talk:Air raid shelter#Anderson shelter BubbleEngineer (talk) 19:27, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

- Split Template:Survivor should be split into Template:Survivor and Template: Survivor (U.S. TV series). Currently the template includes both world-view and US-franchise templates which is a problem as the US navigation template is placed in non-US series pages which have no relevance to it. This merged style is unique to this template as other reality-show templates, such as Big Brother, have individual templates. --Gonnym (talk) 20:19, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
Done by interested party.
- Split Richard and Elizabeth Uihlein into Richard Uihlein and Elizabeth Uihlein. Proposed because the article is getting long and they are both individually notable people with sources that discuss them as such. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SprinklerLover12 (talk • contribs) 00:05, 10 June 2025 (UTC) Richard3120 (talk) 15:11, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

- Split The history sections of Door County, Wisconsin and Door Peninsula into History of Door County, Wisconsin. The Door County, Wisconsin article became (or still is) too long. This option would re-unite the two history sections. About a year ago, half of the history section had been moved to Door Peninsula to save space on Door County, Wisconsin.--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 00:22, 31 August 2021 (UTC)

- Split 1983 Upper Voltan coup d'état attempt into 1983 Upper Voltan coup d'état attempt and 1983 Upper Voltan coup d'état. I propose that section August coup can be split into a separate page called 1983 Upper Voltan coup d'état. The successful coup on August 1983 is arguably more notable than the February 1983 coup attempt, and I believe it can be easily split into its own separate page. - Split Forged in Fire into Forged in Fire and List of Forged in Fire episodes. With all the season/episode tables, the article is extremely lengthy. The long tables also detract from the series' flow of production information, etc. See the discussion on the talk page: split. If it helps speed up the support process, the proposed draft can be reviewed at Draft:List of Forged in Fire episodes. CYAce01 (talk) 08:09, 31 January 2021 (UTC)

- Split USSR State Prize into USSR State Prize and List of the USSR State Prize laureates. The article is too long and the recipients list is not full yet - it can grow further. See discussion at Talk:USSR State Prize#Split proposal. I can perform the split if consensus is reached. Less Unless (talk) 14:26, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Split Chrysler into FCA US and Chrysler. The article is currently titled "Chrysler" but this is a misrepresentation because the name of the company is FCA US. "Chrysler" is the name of the predecessor of FCA US, but today it is merely the name of one of FCA US's brands. The differentiation can only be made if this article is split. - Split portions of China, History of China, Republic of China (1912–1949) and Taiwan into China (region). The debate of using “Taiwan” and “China” are separate countries isn’t long enough since China is politically divided into two governments since 1949 as a result of the Chinese Civil War. - Split 2020-2021 United States racial unrest into 2020-2021 United States racial unrest and List of incidents and protests of the 2020-2021 United States racial unrest. This article appears too long with a huge list of events and incidents and it may help readability to split them off into a separate article. - Split Regional municipality to Regional municipality (Ontario). If agreed, I cannot do the split; however, I could try to mock-up new articles in DRAFTspace. This article is misfocused and unbalanced. It derives its intro and much of its content from Ontario, inapplicable to the other jurisdictions found in the article. To rebalance and unbias the article, Ontario would be split off, and a summary left behind, with a new intro. - Split - Richard Childress Racing into Richard Childress Racing (providing a summary overview of the broader organisation), Richard Childress Racing No. 3 Car Team, Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series, and Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Article is currently the ninth largest on English Wikipedia because it attempts to cover 15 different sports teams across 3 different leagues in a single article on the grounds that they are all owned by the same person. - Split (DISCUSS) Domingo into Domingo (name). The people section of this disambiguation page is rather large, so it is better to split it off into a separate name set index page. If agreed, I may be able to do the split, if someone creates a redirect at the target location first, page creation is a protected process, so I can't actually create a new page. I may be able to do it if I have not rotated off my IP address at that time so that I can be informed; if I have rotated, I may nolonger have this discussion linked to.
