[edit]{{Resolved}} Been trying to find this article for a few days now with no luck. There is a copy on the USC online Library that I can see, and a preview/copy available for purchase on ProQuest. I only want to see where they cite a claim from in regards to "Churches were raided if a liturgy in Coptic was heard (Soliman 49)" so paying $40 for the pleasure sounds a little unreasonable.

- There is no magazine titled "Bericht der Naturforsch Gesellschaftsgründung", the title makes no sense in German. It should probably read "Bericht[e] der naturforschenden Gesellschaft", but this title is ambiguous, there are various scientific societies bearing that name. Hard to identify the proper publication without further information. FordPrefect42 (talk) 09:57, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- I believe it's this publication [2], OCLC 7550425. The report is mentioned here [3]:
- @Olmagon Found it: doi:10.24355/dbbs.084-201011050910-0. Practically everything in the title was wrong ... FordPrefect42 (talk) 10:18, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- Unfortunately that's how the report has been cited in a bunch of recent published papers on this topic, probably the cause of confusion here. Katzrockso (talk) 10:23, 17 November 2025 (UTC)

May need to scan a very few pages in volume 2: not seeing link in online Oxford Reference. Much appreciated and will use to make concept map for Wiki Commons. (Also needed for presentation Oct. 18).

Topical Outline of Contents This outline provides a general overview of the conceptual scheme of The Oxford Encyclopedia of Biblical Interpretation, listing the title of each entry and subentry. Entries in the Encyclopedia are organized alphabetically. Entries in this outline are arranged under the following headings. Headings are purely heuristic and not evaluative. For instance, placing an entry under “Ideological Approaches” does not mean that it was regarded by the editors as any more ideological in orientation than other entries. Washington Post archives
[edit]{{resolved}} Hey, folks. What happened to all the WaPo archival articles? I can't seem to access them anymore. I was under the impression that they were once available through the "ProQuest Historical Newspapers: U.S. Metro Collection". I'm looking for the following articles:
- McBee, Susanna; Carper, Elsie (10 June 1960). "Sitdown Comes to N. Virginia". The Washington Post. p. D6.
- "Two Negroes in Restaurant Sitdown Held for Trespassing". The Washington Post. 11 Jun 1960. p. D1.
- McBee, Susanna (12 June 1960). "Negro Relates Objectives of Sitdown". The Washington Post. p. B14.
- Anderson, John (19 June 1960). "Arlington Accepts Lunch Integration Say Sitdowners". The Washington Post. p. B2.
- McBee, Susanna (23 June 1960). "2 Drug Outlets, 3 Major Stores Desegregate Arlington Counters". The Washington Post. p. A1.
I'm requesting these articles for Cherrydale sit-ins. It will help myself (GA reviewer) and User:Wikipedian1234 (primary contributor). If I had to choose only one article, it would be the one dated 12 June 1960, as there's a quote I want to check in that one. The others are welcome and probably helpful for the article, but not as important at this time if they can't be added to the request as easily. Thank you. Also, can someone explain how to access these online? I see that I no longer have access to these articles in ProQuest. I've added the direct links to the articles up above if anyone does have access. Thanks. Viriditas (talk) 22:24, 14 November 2025 (UTC)

"Minerva" journal
[edit]- Jenkins, Ian (1999). "'Sir, They Are Scrubbing the Elgin Marbles!' – Some Controversial Cleanings of the Parthenon Sculptures". Minerva. 10 (6): 43–45.
For 1937–1938 Elgin Marbles cleaning scandal (in press at User:UndercoverClassicist/1937–1938 Elgin Marbles cleaning scandal). I have found this cited at second hand several times but cannot track down the original. It does not appear to be the Minerva journal owned by Springer and available on JSTOR (ISSN 0026-4695). The ISSN Portal gives a lot of journals by that name but I can't immediately see any that obviously fit the bill.

- It looks as though Minerva: International Review Of Ancient Art & Archaeology - VOL 10.6 (work is Minerva (archaeology magazine), which ceased publication in 2023) is what you're looking for, but I think someone must be borrowing it, because it's unavailable at the moment. Carl Borgmann

- Borgmann, Carl (1933). "A Colorado Engineer at Cambridge". The Colorado Engineer. 30–32. Boulder: College of Engineering of the University of Colorado: 6, 24.
HathiTrust has everything from 1904 to 1921 online.[7] The date on this is 1933 I believe, but the volume and issue are unknown, but probably volume 30 to 32. This is for Carl Borgmann. It's really depressing that material from 1933 isn't widely available. Thank you. Viriditas (talk) 20:36, 30 August 2025 (UTC)
- Viriditas, this is also in the Google Books entry for volumes 30–31, so we can eliminate 32. Moreover, from some searching of the snipped view, I think the article is in the November 1933 issue. I've requested a scan from my library. In addition, to your point about it being depressing that materials from 1933 isn't widely available (which is depressing indeed), I think the copyright for this work has lapsed; there's no record here of a renewal. I've thus asked Google to review the copyright status (using the "Report an issue" link at the bottom of the Google Books page). This frequently works, although not always. --Usernameunique (talk) 20:33, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

Journal article for ephedrine
[edit]Hi, I'd like to get access to this article long enough to consult a chemist who brought a problem to my attention:
- Yamasaki K, Tamaki T, Uzawa S, Sankawa U, Shibata S (1973). "Participation of C6-C1 unit in the biosynthesis of ephedrine in Ephedra". Phytochemistry. 12 (12): 2877–2882. Bibcode:1973PChem..12.2877Y. doi:10.1016/0031-9422(73)80499-6.
I found it on the Wikipedia Library at:
but apparently we aren't subscribed to that. This is for the article Ephedrine; the text supported by this citation seems dubious.

article from obscure journal on EBSCO
[edit]- KŁUSEK, TOMASZ. "Literat oszukany przez historię: O powikłaniach twórczości Tadeusza Jasińskiego." Akcent 178, no. 4 (2024).
Seems to be on EBSCO according to GS: [10] (top hit for this query). I cannot get it through my institution, Wikipedia Library (EBSCO search sucks), or through any shadow library I tried. He seems notable and I'll try at least stub his bio. If you want to email me, use my first name dot surname on gmail, faster than my Wikipedia email.
