Request for assistance with article review – Professor Thomas Fowler IV

[edit]

Hello WikiProject Architecture editors,

I am seeking guidance and editorial support for a biography in development on Professor Thomas Fowler IV (FAIA, ACSA Distinguished Professor, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo). The draft focuses on his career as an educator, architect, and interdisciplinary design leader, and I’d appreciate help reviewing for neutrality, structure, and appropriate sourcing per WP:BIO and WP:ACADEMIC.

I’ve been active improving architecture-related pages, most recently contributing to the “Client and architect” section of the InterContinental Vienna article by refining citations and architectural context. And I can be helpful with more articles!

If anyone has time to review or provide pointers for the Fowler draft, I’d be deeply grateful. You can find the working version here: User:Delafield1212/sandbox

(or I can share the draft link if preferred).

Thank you very much for your time and collaboration.

George Clarke (architect)

[edit]

We currently have:

I'm not sure these titles are the most helpful for the reader. The last, if he is remembered at all, is probably now better known as an architect than a politician. The first is perhaps most famous as a TV personality/presenter, although he is a trained architect. The second I have to confess to never having heard of. Does anyone have thoughts on how we might better distinguish these three? KJP1 (talk) 16:55, 22 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say:

- the density of disam may be a tad heretical, but I think is justified in these circumstances. Otherwise one could use dates, which are all different. But I don't think these suggestions clash with the c.30 others at George Clarke. Johnbod (talk) 00:18, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Johnbod - Thanks, that's helpful. I like architectural presenter. I'll suggest those moves on the relevant Talkpages. KJP1 (talk) 09:11, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Architectural description at Calder Gardens

[edit]

Hi all! Hoping to get some assistance on the article for Calder Gardens, a recently opened museum in Philadelphia. I did some expansion on the history of the museum's development and opening, but I'm really not well versed in writing articles with a significant focus on architecture. Given the depth of coverage of the building and its architecture, I think this probably calls for some additional prose describing the style, structure, etc. Does anyone here have capacity to help flesh out an "Architecture" section of this article? There are a lot of reviews already cited or listed under "Further reading" to pull from for descriptions and analysis. Would appreciate any help anyone's able to provide. Thanks :) 19h00s (talk) 18:22, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
