@Gommeh: AGF approval is deprecated.--Launchballer 07:41, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
@Launchballer: What does that mean? I'm confused. Gommeh 📖   🎮 14:14, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
@Gommeh: It's no longer sufficient (I'll update {{DYK checklist}}) to accept an offline/foreign language citation in good faith. You need to get access to a copy of the source and verify the hook, or at the very least a quote from the source for foreign-language sources. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 03:08, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
Quoting from the source: "In response, Kurosawa, along with directors Masaki Kobayashi, Keisuke Kinoshita, and Kon Ichikawa, formed their own joint company, Club of the Four Knights (Yonki no kai), in July 1969. This powerhouse of talent, arguably the four greatest living Japanese directors of the time, was created with the single purpose of producing films that would rejuvenate the flag-ging industry." Zalaraz (talk) 03:28, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
That makes it seem like the source is saying "rejuvenate the flagging industry" in their own voice, but the end of paragraph 2 seems to imply that Kurosawa said that? theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 03:50, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
Which paragraph exactly? Zalaraz (talk) 03:57, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
2nd para of the article, end sentence is In these circumstances, Kurosawa formed the Yonki-no-kai production company with three other leading directors of the era to finance his next project with a stated aim of producing "films that would rejuvenate the flagging industry". theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 03:59, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
You're right, will removing "stated" fix it?. Zalaraz (talk) 04:01, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
that works, but possibly also attribute which source said it inline? theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 04:27, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
Removed it. Zalaraz (talk) 08:04, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
@Gommeh and Theleekycauldron: Is this good to go now? Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 11:38, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
mm, sorry, i do still think the sentence should also attribute inline to the source that gave the quote. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 15:21, 4 December 2025 (UTC)
I have provided the attribution. Zalaraz (talk) 00:22, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
Thank you. @Theleekycauldron: Is this ready to roll now? Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 00:28, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
I think it is. Gommeh 📖   🎮 01:08, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
