WikiNarrator is a user script to read article text aloud. Users can select a passage and click the button "▶" to listen to it. WikiNarrator reads the whole article if no passage was selected. Reading can be paused or stopped with the buttons "⏸" and "■". Voice, volume, speed, and pitch can be adjusted in the settings menu, accessed via the button "⚙". The script can be activated or deactivated through the toolbar by clicking the link "Show/hide WikiNarrator".
To install this script, go to your common.js and add the following line:
importScript('User:Phlsph7/WikiNarrator.js'); // Backlink: [[User:Phlsph7/WikiNarrator.js]]
If you run into problems or have suggestions on how to improve the script, please discuss them at User_talk:Phlsph7/WikiNarrator. To use the script in the Firefox browser and/or on a Linux system, see User_talk:Phlsph7/WikiNarrator#Issues.

[edit]The following is a recording of the text below using the voice "Google US English":
Political philosophy studies the theoretical and conceptual foundations of politics. It examines the nature, scope, and legitimacy of political institutions, such as states. This field investigates different forms of government, ranging from democracy to authoritarianism, and the values guiding political action, like justice, equality, and liberty. As a normative field, political philosophy focuses on desirable norms and values, in contrast to political science, which emphasizes empirical description.
